Musixster’s approach to artist promotion sees songs pitted against one another in an online competition system that allows fans to vote on which songs they prefer. The successful artists who win a cumulative total of five battles are awarded a cash prize of $200, which can then be used to further their career in various ways.
The first-of-its-kind competition network is based on a unique dynamic ranking system that allows tracks to constantly gain or lose points as they compete. This approach ensures that artists who are ranked lower down the list can still achieve top rankings if they are popular among their fans.
Fans who want to get involved must listen to at least 90 seconds of each song before voting. Additionally, artists can invite fans to vote for them from anywhere in the world, which creates a democratic visibility that is beneficial to all involved parties.
