Kyle Chase, owner of Liverpool’s club Spray Shop, has been handed a 12-year prison sentence for drug trafficking. The 39-year-old Chase, also known as Kyle Muldoon, was given a sentence of 12 years and eight months after being identified as using encrypted messaging service Encrochat on multiple devices. Police found that he was using two aliases, “threefatladies” and “fourfatladies,” with other devices having the handles “kyle,” “K new,” “fat kyle,” and his DJ pseudonym, “DJ Eldon” saved.
Muldoon was revealed to have supplied 12kg of cocaine, 3kg of heroin, 10kg of ketamine, and 15kg of cannabis across the UK between March and June 2020, providing large amounts of Class A and B drugs. Detective Inspector Laura Parr stated that “Muldoon remained intent on taking advantage of vulnerable people during a time when the vast majority of the country were staying indoors and looking out for each other.”
Described as someone who had worked hard in the music industry, Muldoon had his own music studio in Liverpool, which he was revealed to have shared photographs of with other Encrochat users. Before being sentenced, Judge Gary Woodhall recognized Muldoon’s skill set and success in the industry. Spray Shop, a 350-capacity nightclub, opened in Liverpool’s north docklands area in February 2023, with Muldoon stating that he wanted “to create a cultural legacy that this city can be proud of.”
Ultimately, Muldoon was found to have made hundreds of thousands of pounds in revenue from selling class A and B drugs, but has now been imprisoned for over a decade
