Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix, daughter of ‘First Dates’ star Fred Sirieix, secured a bronze medal at the Olympics, competing for Team GB in the women’s synchronised diving 10 metre platform event, alongside Lois Toulson. Spendolini-Sirieix and Toulson finished third behind China, who picked up gold, and North Korea, who finished in the silver second place spot. Sirieix could be seen celebrating his daughter’s medal from one of the broadcasting booths.
Before the event, Spendolini-Sirieix revealed to ‘The Sun’ that she was tired of being referred to as just “Fred’s daughter” and wanted to build her own legacy. The athlete said it has been a progression since Tokyo, and she has grown into the woman that she is today, with her own identity.
