Chicago singer-songwriter Ravyn Lenae has unveiled her latest single, ‘One Wish’, featuring Childish Gambino. The new track marks the fourth single off Lenae’s upcoming sophomore album, ‘Bird’s Eye’, which will be available for release on August 9 via Atlantic Records. ‘One Wish’ can be heard from many digital platforms, including YouTube.
Childish Gambino recently released his final album under his moniker, which included his single ‘Lithonia’ and served as the official soundtrack for a movie that is yet to be released. Glover explained his decision to retire the Childish Gambino moniker, chalking it up to no longer finding it fulfilling. After the death of his father and the birth of his children, he now wants to focus on other personal pursuits.
The singer-songwriter is excited about the release of ‘Bird’s Eye’, which features ‘One Wish’ alongside other singles like ‘Love Is Blind’, ‘Love Me Not’, featuring Smino, and ‘Dream Girl’ featuring Ty Dolla $ign. From this upcoming album, Lenae stated, “When you listen to ‘Bird’s Eye’, I want you to feel like you’re dancing in your living room with your friends or folding clothes from the laundry basket. Whatever makes you happy, I want this album to be the soundtrack”.
Recently, Donald Glover took to social media to express how much he loves working with Ravyn Lenae due to her incredible harmony selection and shared that they have another track they hope to release one day.
