Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ in Munich saw thousands of fans flocking to the Olympiastadion stadium. Despite the stadium being filled to its full capacity of 74,000 fans, a large number of disappointed fans gathered on hills outside unwilling to miss the pop star’s performances. Local police estimated that around 45,000 fans, who could not get tickets, gathered outside the Munich stadium. The situation prompted Swift to acknowledge fans outside. In her acknowledgment, she said, “We have people in a park outside the stadium, thousands of people listening from out there! You’re so welcome, and we’re going to spend all night trying to make it up to you.”
Swift is on a rolling European tour, including stops and concerts in various countries. During the tour, many of her songs received live debuts, including deep cuts from her back catalogue. She gave ‘We Are Happy’ and ‘Happiness’ their live debuts, and in the first Hamburg gig, she played ‘Superstar’ for the first time. Earlier, in Amsterdam, she played ‘imgonnagetyouback’ and ‘The Albatross’ in Dublin.
Swift is due to return to London next month, where she will perform at Wembley Stadium for a sold-out five-concert series with support from Paramore. Her London concerts in June received positive reviews from both fans and critics.
