Irish rock band U2 have announced the release of the ‘Zoo TV – Live In Dublin’ EP from 1993. The EP will consist of five tracks recorded at their show at the RDS in Dublin during the band’s European Zooropa leg of their groundbreaking ZOO TV Tour. The list of tracks includes “Zoo Station,” “Mysterious Ways,” “Tryin’ to Throw Your Arms Around The World,” “Stay (Faraway, So Close!),” and “Love Is Blindness.” This will be the first official release of the EP, making it a highly coveted collectible for fans and collectors alike. The EP is set to be released on August 30 and is now available for pre-order.

The Irish band performed at arenas and stadiums from 1992 to 1993 in support of their 1991 LP ‘Achtung Baby.’ The tour was an elaborately staged multimedia spectacle designed to satirise television and media oversaturation. The goal of the show was to instill “sensory overload” onto its audience, done in an effort to mirror the band’s new musical direction seen on the album.

A worldwide live radio broadcast of the August 28 RDS Dublin show allowed approximately 700 million fans around the world to tune in with a very ZOO TV invitation to “Watch More Radio.” They played to roughly 5.3 million fans over 157 shows and five legs.

So the best were Pantera and Bono,” he said. The band also recently sent Taylor Swift a bouquet of flowers ahead of her gigs in Dublin last month, accompanied by a note signed by the band members
