Australian broadcaster, triple j’s Like A Version series has seen The Last Dinner Party cover Blondie’s ‘Call Me’. The shortlisted Mercury Prize nominees explained their reason for choosing the iconic song as their cover on the triple j show, stating it was their classic karaoke favourite. The Last Dinner Party’s cover of ‘Call Me’ marks their most recent achievement as they aim to conquer the music industry. Recently named the Rising Star award winner, the group spoke with the press at the BRITs 2024 about their debut album’s response and upcoming singles. Fans should expect a new track called ‘Big Dog’, which the band has been performing live, but has not yet been released.

The Last Dinner Party will embark on an autumn European headline tour. The band’s summer schedule consists of TRNSMT and Reading & Leeds festivals following performances at Roskilde and Rock Werchter. The band secured their spot among the most promising new artists in the industry by winning BBC Sound Of 2024 poll and being featured on the 2023 NME 100 list. Despite their massive success to date, the group reflected earlier this year that they are “trying to ignore the words ‘hype’ and ‘buzzy band.’”
