Axl Rose joined Billy Joel for two songs during the latter’s final show at Madison Square Garden. As part of his decade-long residency at the prestigious New York venue, Joel pulled out all the stops for his momentous 150th show. He performed classics like “We Didn’t Start the Fire,” “Uptown Girl” and “Big Shot” to a packed audience. Midway through the performance, he brought out Guns N’ Roses’ frontman to perform two back-to-back covers of “Live and Let Die” by Wings and “Highway to Hell” by AC/DC.
This was Joel’s last show for the foreseeable future, and he made sure to make it unforgettable. He also invited Axl Rose back on stage again for their rendition of “You May Be Right” to close the night. Fans who were lucky enough to be in attendance captured footage of the significant performance and shared it on social media. Guns N’ Roses’ own Slash recently made headlines when he revealed that “2025 is all about Guns N’ Roses.” He suggested that the band was trying to work on a new studio album, but no further details about that have been released.
