Billie Eilish has recently taken part in a video segment with ELLE Magazine, where she prank-called a number of her celebrity friends, including Margot Robbie, Tyler, The Creator, and Dakota Johnson. The aim was to play out a series of awkward and funny scenarios over the phone while filming their reactions.
For her first prank call, Eilish called Margot Robbie to ask if she could shoot a music video at her house at the last minute. Robbie answered the phone eagerly, praising Eilish first for her latest album, Hit Me Hard and Soft. But Eilish soon asked if she could film a music video at Robbie’s house as the location for the shoot had fallen through. Robbie politely declined, as she was preparing to pack up her house for a move.
In another call, Eilish asked Tyler, The Creator if she could rush over to his house for a quick shower and change of clothes as she had an “accident” while on a date. Tyler laughed at the story and agreed to let her come over. However, Eilish was quick to reveal that it was all just a prank.
Lastly, Eilish called Dakota Johnson, claiming she was going to be cast in a movie as a diaper-wearing baby. Johnson sounded puzzled by the casting and asked if Eilish needed any advice on whether to take the role. Eilish said she had already accepted and wanted help finding a dialect coach before finally confessing that it was all a prank.
Eilish’s latest album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, has received critical acclaim, with one reviewer from NME awarding it four stars. The album explores the emotional thrill and catastrophe of chasing passion or falling in love as seen through the eyes of a young adult. Eilish is also celebrating becoming the youngest artist to reach 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify, coming in third place behind Taylor Swift and The Weeknd.
Eilish’s Hit Me Hard And Soft world tour is set to begin this autumn, with the UK and Ireland leg taking place in July 2025. The tour includes six nights at The O2 in London, and there are some tickets still available for purchase
