However, the move appears to have paid off as ‘Heavy Jelly’ is currently sitting in the top three on the midweek album charts, alongside the likes of Glass Animals’ ‘I Love You So F***ing Much’ and Eminem’s ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace)’. Soft Play’s popularity only continues to grow. The duo said that their latest album is a sort of manifest of the band, and they feel like the universe is rewarding them for doing something that was so challenging.

They shared that they had re-embraced some of their childhood influences like Limp Bizkit and System of a Down. They also discussed reconnecting with their youth and making heavy music again.
