A man has denied allegations of murdering his wife while she was pushing their baby in a stroller in Bradford. Habibur Masum, of Leamington Avenue in Burnley, was charged with stabbing 27-year-old Kulsuma Akter to death on April 6 in the Westgate area of the city. The accused appeared in Bradford Crown Court and pleaded not guilty to the charges of murder and possessing a blade. While denying the allegations, Masum also pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault by beating, charges of making threats to kill and stalking which invoked a fear of violence against the deceased.

While pushing her baby in the city center of Bradford at around 3:20 PM in April, Ms. Akter was attacked, resulting in her immediate death. The emergency services were called, however, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The baby remained unharmed.
