Robin Williams’ son pays emotive tribute to father on birthday anniversary

On July 21st, Zachary Pym Williams, son of the late actor Robin Williams, paid tribute to his father on what would have been his 73rd birthday on Instagram. Williams passed away from suicide back in 2014, and his two children have since remembered their father every year since. In the Instagram post, Zachary wrote, “There’s not a week that goes by without someone sharing with me how you helped them through a dark time or a rough patch. I’m so grateful and proud to be your son. Love you forever.” The post was accompanied by a black and white photo of the late actor smiling as he posed for the camera while sitting in front of a couch.

Zachary also posted on Instagram earlier this year on Father’s Day, where he thanked his father for showing him “what it truly means to be unconditionally loving and kind. I miss you and love you today and every day.” Robin Williams was a beloved figure in the entertainment industry, and his death marked a significant loss to many.

After Williams’ death, it was revealed that he had unknowingly suffered from Lewy body dementia, a rare form of progressive dementia that impacts thought and reasoning, after being misdiagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Since his passing, Williams’ wife, Susan Schneider Williams, has been dedicated to educating people about her husband’s illness and raising awareness about it through a recent documentary titled, Robin’s Wish.

Although Williams is no longer with us, his contribution to the world of cinema and his ability to touch the lives of many will always be remembered. His passing has highlighted the importance of understanding the signs of mental illness and seeking help when needed. For those struggling with mental health issues, there are resources available to seek help, which have been listed at the end of the article
