Lady Gaga has once again been linked with performing at an Olympic Games opening ceremony. Fans have spotted the pop star waving to fans in Paris, fuelling rumours that she will be performing at this week’s (July 26) event. Instagram users believed to be connected to the ceremony have also started following the star’s account. However, there has been no official confirmation of Lady Gaga’s involvement in the Paris Olympics.
This is not the first time Lady Gaga has been linked to the Olympic Games. Leaked documents in 2021 reportedly revealed that she was set to perform at the opening ceremony of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, which was delayed until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Fans were left angry last week after her recent concert film, ‘Gaga Chromatica Ball’, was overlooked for an Emmy nomination.
In May, Lady Gaga shared plans for her forthcoming seventh album, explaining how she was “exploring right now the art of intensity”. The album is yet to be officially confirmed with a release date. Fans will be able to see the singer in October’s ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’, where she will play Harley Quinn to Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker.
Lady Gaga’s involvement in the Paris Olympics remains unclear, but we will keep our eyes peeled for any developments
