K-pop girl group 2NE1 are set for a world tour to celebrate their 15th anniversary, according to founder of YG Entertainment, Yang Hyun Suk. The trio had been teasing the possibility of a reunion, with confirmation that they had met with their former label head last June, and teasing “good news” afterwards. The girl group disbanded in 2016 following a year-long hiatus and the departure of member Minzy.
The tour, set to begin in Seoul this October, will also take in shows in Osaka in late November and Tokyo in December, with further dates set to continue throughout 2025. YG Entertainment has not revealed any other locations and specific dates and venues have yet to be confirmed.
2NE1 made their debut in 2009 under YG Entertainment and soon became one of the most successful second-generation K-pop acts. They released a number of hits throughout their career, including “Fire”, “I Am The Best”, “Come Back Home” and many others.
