Mance is set to release his new EP ‘Ethereal Pulses’ on Dr Dubplate’s ec2a label. The four-track EP is a combination of speed garage and hard house, with the lead eponymous single merging an ear-worm of a melody with hefty kicks and elation-inducing breakdowns. The EP also includes a ‘Dred Mix’ of the lead single and ‘Left, Right, Hold on Tight’, which embodies a speed garage sound.
According to Mance, the direction of the EP was inspired by his recent Discogs discoveries. He aimed to create that classic ‘rare white label’ vibe with his tracks, and this EP is no exception. The EP also has a funny story behind it, with the A1, ‘Ethereal Pulses’ being its foundation. Unsure if it was the right direction, Mance immediately started working on a different version that became A2 of the EP. He sent both tracks to Yanis Dr Dublate, and they decided to include both tracks on the EP.
In addition, those who grab a vinyl copy of the EP will have access to a bonus track ‘Much Better’, which samples Shakedown classic. The EP has already garnered significant support from DJs, including ‘Left, Right, Hold on Tight’ and ‘Much Better’ holding their ground very well in every set.
Mance was discovered by Dr Dubplate after he released on Burnski’s label, and the quality of his production caught his attention. Dr Dubplate thought Mance was over 40, so when he found out he was only 20, he was shocked. He describes Mance as having a bright future, and he can’t wait to see where his career takes him.
The EP is available now, and fans are encouraged to check it out. ‘Ethereal Pulses’ showcases Mance’s impressive production skills and unique sound, and fans can look forward to more exciting music from him in the future.
