Charli XCX on how she wants to “transform” arenas on 2024 tour: “We’re definitely in fantasy world”

Charli XCX has revealed her excitement about her upcoming ‘Sweat’ tour with co-headliner Troye Sivan. The tour starts off in North America and features support from Shygirl for every date. Charli has stated her ambitions to “transform” arenas on this tour and expressed her desire to make each show different and unexpected. Charli spoke of transforming the space by featuring a cage through the middle of the arena with the audience right up at the bars of the cage and having lights throughout the arena, not just on the stage. The tour will conclude in Seattle on October 23, 2024.

The tour is meant to celebrate both artists’ successes and is also an indication of their shared commitment to inclusivity and diversity in the music industry. In its extravagance, fans can expect an electrifying show characterised by exhilarating performances, stunning visuals, and infectious beats. Charli and Troye previously collaborated on the songs ‘1999’ and ‘2099,’ leading to one of the most dynamic duos in pop music.

After the London announcement earlier this year, Charli will set out on a UK arena tour in November. The singer will play four headline shows that are her biggest in her home country; Shygirl will be on all of the dates yet again. Charli’s recently released album ‘BRAT’ is “bitchy, gossipy, hardcore, and very club feeling,” according to the singer, and is targeted towards club-goers who like to sweat, party and rave.

The Sweat Tour kicks off on September 14 at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. After that, Charli and Troye travel to Laval, Toronto, Columbus, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Nashville, Atlanta, Miami, Orlando, Dallas, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle. Each of these shows has the potential to transform the arena with the cage, the lights, and other Flamboyant props. Fans can purchase tickets through Ticketmaster, and this tour is one that should not be missed
