During world-renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli’s three-day concert in Italy created to honor his three decades in the industry, actor and guitarist Johnny Depp joined him on stage and paid tribute to late guitar icon Jeff Beck. The duo rendered a performance of ‘En Aranjuez Con Tu Amor’ at the Teatro del Silenzio open-air amphitheatre in Bocelli’s hometown, Lajatico. Notably, the track is an original song played during a visit by the duo to Bocelli in 2020 where they collaborated with the late Jeff Beck. During their performance at Bocelli’s concert, the recording of their performance that night incorporated Beck’s contribution.

Jeff Beck died suddenly at age 78 in January 2023, owing to his contraction of bacterial meningitis. Depp and Beck enjoyed a close relationship with the former visiting Beck at his bedside days before his demise. The two had released their joint album ‘18’ in July 2022 and had toured extensively in recent years.

Ed Sheeran, Will Smith, and Russell Crowe were the other famous faces who collaborated with the tenor for his 30th anniversary celebrations over the three days. Bocelli had earlier performed as a headliner at London’s BST Hyde Park concert series, where Hans Zimmer, Seal, Zucchero, and Loren Allred joined him on stage.

Besides, the renowned classical music star’s Instagram stories featured clips of the on-stage performance, which he shared with his followers. The appearance at the show comes shortly after Blondie star Debbie Harry expressed her desire for a future collaboration with Johnny Depp in a recent interview.
