A man suspected of killing a mother and her two daughters in an attack using a crossbow is still in the hospital, according to the police. The incident in which Carol Hunt, 61, Hannah Hunt, 28, and Louise Hunt, 25, lost their lives occurred in their Bushey home in Hertfordshire on July 9. For his part, Kyle Clifford, 26, was found injured near Enfield’s Hilly Fields area only 24 hours later. He was later arrested on July 11 on suspicion of three murder counts.
According to Hertfordshire police, the accused would remain under arrest and continue to receive care at the hospital. Mr. Clifford remains in custody, and there is no definite time frame yet as to when he will be discharged from the hospital. Previously, the police had stated that the custody clock was not running yet, as Mr. Clifford was still receiving medical attention.
“We are not able to determine a specific duration for this and will be guided by healthcare professionals,” a police spokesperson said. Despite this, our Major Crimes Unit investigators continued their inquiry.”
The authorities could typically keep the suspects in custody for up to 24 hours or even more for the most severe offenses. The police have not revealed any further information about the circumstance surrounding the attack
