Thousands of music lovers gathered at Scotland’s TRNSMT festival to enjoy performances from dozens of artists over the weekend. Friday’s crowd numbered around 50,000 and enjoyed Liam Gallagher headlining the night, while Garbage, Sugarbabes and even Scottish group, Travis, who played a secret set, entertained the crowd on Saturday.

Rick Astley gave festival goers plenty to shout about with his performances of AC/DC’s Highway to Hell and Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes, as well as his hit song, Never Gonna Give You Up. Gerry Cinnamon headlined the second day and kept fans entertained throughout his set until the night’s end, while Calvin Harris, Enter Shikari, and English Teacher took to the stage on Sunday, the final day of the festival.

In addition to the musical performances, Natasha Bedingfield dedicated a song to her older brother and held up her phone to record the crowd as they joined in singing a Lewis Capaldi song with her. Fans of Sugababes also enjoyed a strong set and the reunited band said they were “immensely grateful” for the positive reaction they received in Glasgow.

However, Garbage’s set was somewhat marred by an apparent stage invader, who wandered on during their closing song, Push It. Frontwoman Shirley Manson was visibly annoyed and repeatedly asked who the man was after noticing him setting up gear on stage. The incident aside, festival goers enjoyed beautiful weather on Friday and solid entertainment throughout the weekend.

TRNSMT is Scotland’s biggest music festival, drawing music lovers from all over the UK with its extensive line-up and reputation for high-quality performances. With this year’s event successfully concluded, fans are eagerly anticipating next year’s edition
