John Summit, the DJ and producer who originated from Chicago, has finally released his first-ever album titled ‘Comfort in Chaos’ on July 12th, 2021. He released the 12-track album in collaboration with Darkroom on his own house and techno label, Experts Only. Summit’s new project features the Chicago house influence he grew up with, along with styles such as garage and liquid drum ‘n’ bass.
The album has several impressive guest features, including Sub Focus, Elderbrook, and vocalist HAYLA on ‘Go Back’, and Paige Cavell on lead single ‘Tears’. The veteran producer reveals that the album represents the man behind the icon. He has tried to make himself musically and emotionally vulnerable in a way that fans might not be familiar with.
The musicians who worked on this album are an eclectic mix of London-based pop songwriter Koates, Julia Church, venbee, and dance music superstar Kaskade. Summit has recently sold out Madison Square Garden and live-streamed a massive solo set at Coachella, closing out the beloved Sahara tent. He has also performed several shows with his Experts Only label in unique locations like the slopes of Vail Mountain and the Caverns in Tennessee.
