The trailer for the upcoming horror movie, “The Substance,” featuring Margaret Qualley, was recently released. The movie, which was directed by Coralie Fargeat, stars Demi Moore and Dennis Quaid. It received the Best Screenplay award at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. In the film, Moore plays Elisabeth Sparkle, an aerobics show star who is fired from her job due to her age on her 50th birthday. Upon returning home, she is tempted to use an incredible “substance” which promises to enhance her physical attributes.

“The Substance,” which has been compared to films by David Lynch and David Cronenberg, will be available in cinemas on September 20, thanks to distributors Mubi. Fans of the horror genre have shown their excitement for the movie on social media platforms. Several X users even expressed their eagerness to see the film, saying it is their most anticipated film at the moment.

According to Clayton Davis, the senior awards editor of Variety, “The Substance” features “the best performance of Demi Moore’s career.” The film has been met with rave reviews, with a score of 93% on the aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes. The critics’ consensus on the site reads, “Audaciously gross, wickedly clever, and possibly Demi Moore’s finest hour, The Substance is a gasp-inducing feat from writer-director Coralie Fargeat.”

This year, Qualley also co-directed the music video for Bleachers’ single, “Tiny Moves,” to stop in front of a car parked by the Hudson River at dawn. In the video, she choreographed a dance sequence before walking over to the driver of the car – Antonoff himself – and the two embrace as the sun rises over New York City
