A fundraising event for Hurricane Beryl affected individuals has been announced by the Black Artist Database (B.A.D) in collaboration with MOKO Tottenham. The event is scheduled to take place on July 20th, and will feature reggae and dance music DJs such as ELLADHC, Isaac Carter, T Dunn, Ellaweeez, and Mighty Ruler Soundsystem, along with some undisclosed special guests.
As per reports, the announcement was made by B.A.D organization on its Instagram page, where it read “This isn’t just a party – it’s a mission! Every ticket, every dance move, and every donation goes straight to grassroots heroes on the ground, working tirelessly to rebuild and restore the beautiful Caribbean. If you can’t make it buy a ticket anyway!”
Further, the organization is stated to bring together black artists from all around the world and showcase their works so that potential clients can view and purchase them. It aims to connect artists from around the globe with culturally diverse artwork.
Black Artist Database also seeks to use artistry as a way to empower new and established artists, and by extension, communities. It does this by designing, creating, educating, and training artists through workshops and presentations.
The collaboration between BAD and MOKO Tottenham is likely to benefit many individuals affected by Hurricane Beryl, with every penny raised going towards rebuilding the Caribbean region. The artists invited to perform will also be able to showcase their talents for a noble cause
