Taylor Swift celebrated her 113th ‘Eras Tour’ show in Zurich with a mash-up of ‘Right Where You Left Me’ from “Evermore” and ‘All You Had To Do Was Stay’ from ‘1989’. She played her first-ever show in Switzerland on July 9. Swift introduced the mash-up by saying 113 is her lucky number and performed some of her favourite songs for the acoustic section. Swift went on to perform on the piano with ‘Last Kiss,’ which mentioned July 9 in the lyrics. The mash-ups took place towards the end of the show between tracks from ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ and ‘Midnights’.
Swift still has more shows in Europe to perform and will be performing at Wembley Stadium starting on August 15 for five shows. She will then be performing in North America, with a series of performances across November and December. The final show will be in Vancouver, Canada, on December 8.
Swift had already performed 100 shows on the tour last month in Liverpool. She admitted that it’s the very first time she’s acknowledged to herself that the tour will end in December and feels so far from now, but then it feels like just yesterday when they played their first show. Earlier this month, Swift’s first Edinburgh show of the tour received a five-star review.
Despite the show being held in an arena and a huge, cavernous venue, Swift and her fans have managed to cultivate a community. Strangers swap friendship bracelets, laugh and cry together, and embrace the tour’s in-jokes and lore. Swift has managed to craft a marvel of a show that comes with a beating heart.
