K-pop girl group BLACKPINK has released the official trailer for their upcoming concert film in celebration of their eighth anniversary. Produced and shown by Trafalgar Releasing and CJ 4DPlex, the concert film will feature the record-breaking ‘Born Pink’ tour that broke records by becoming the highest-grossing tour from an Asian act and a female group in history. The film will be shown in more than 110 countries and will premiere worldwide during its limited release in cinemas starting July 31.
Aside from the upcoming film release, one of the members of the group, Lisa, was recently announced as a co-headliner for Global Citizen Festival 2024 through an announcement by Global Citizen. According to Hollywood Reporter, the Thai K-pop idol will perform alongside other co-headliners including Post Malone, Doja Cat, Jelly Roll, and Rauw Alejandro, marking Lisa’s first-ever solo festival performance. Global Citizen’s SVP, Katie Hill, expressed her excitement to welcome Lisa and her fans to Central Park for the annual event.
Lisa has leveraged her voice and platform to address some of the most pressing issues affecting our world.
