Mnet, a cable network in South Korea, has revealed the official line-up of the second season of Road To Kingdom, which includes CRAVITY, ONEUS and more. The first season of the idol survival program premiered in 2020, featuring seven boy bands with potential, but who were mostly unknown. They competed for the top position, which would guarantee them an advancement to another survival program, Kingdom. ONEUS finished in second place, while the winner of the top spot was THE BOYZ, who advanced to Kingdom.
In early June, Mnet announced a major rebranding of the show. Road To Kingdom will now operate as an independent show, rather than a prequel to Kingdom, and will aim to spotlight rising boy bands and introduce new benefits for the winning team. The specifics of the new mechanics are yet to be announced.
On July 10, Mnet unveiled the official line-up for the upcoming season, which included The New Six, CRAVITY, TheCrewOne (previously two separate groups: ATBO and JustB), 8TURN, ONEUS, YOUNITE and TEMPEST. Interestingly, only ONEUS from the first season is returning. Mnet has yet to reveal any information about hosts, guest performers or mentors for the show.
While there is no trailer available for Road To Kingdom, Mnet confirmed that the show will premiere in September this year, although the exact date is yet to be announced. The show will be broadcast on South Korean cable network Mnet, but it remains unclear if the network has any plans to make the show accessible to international audiences
