As the dust settles on Worthy Farm, Glastonbury 2024 has now come to an end and plans for Glastonbury 2025 are already underway. While rumors and speculation already abound about next year’s edition, 2026 has already been confirmed as a fallow year. Emily Eavis has let it slip that she’s “in talks with some acts” already, but naturally, she’s keeping tight-lipped on which bands and artists are being considered.
With the year off in 2026, it’s widely speculated that the line-up for 2025 will be one of the most significant yet. Here are some of the prominent musicians who could potentially make an appearance as headliners on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury 2025.
Olivia Rodrigo thrilled crowds with her afternoon slot on the Other Stage during Glastonbury in 2022 when she was still on the rise. Fast forward to now and she’s a household name, closing out arenas, and rumored to be in the running to headline Coachella. Bookmakers have her down as one of the favorites to headline the Pyramid Stage in 2025, given the extraordinary success of her sophomore album, ‘Guts’.
Sam Fender made a strong appearance on the Pyramid Stage in 2022. He’s since confirmed he’s working on his third album, but there remains hesitation from the artist about rushing it for the 2025 festival season. He has made clear his desire to take his time and avoid “early and shite” music releases.
The Rolling Stones headlined Glastonbury in 2013 and have yet to return to the festival’s stages since. However, the band has professed its willingness to perform at the festival again. There are no UK support dates scheduled for their latest album yet, so it makes sense that the Pyramid Stage gig at Glastonbury 2025 may be the biggest show they play in the country.
Green Day has never played at Glastonbury before, and fans are waiting eagerly for this band to make an appearance. They’re certainly big enough and have enough history to headline the Pyramid Stage, but only time will tell if this punk rock trio finally makes it to Worthy Farm.
Lastly, AC/DC is another legendary band yet to grace Glastonbury’s stages, although they’ve professed their willingness to play if invited. While it didn’t work out for them in 2024, fans still hope to see Angus Young and company perform soon at Glastonbury.
Regardless of who takes the Pyramid Stage come Glastonbury 2025, there is no doubt that the festival will continue its tradition of bringing some of the biggest talents from the music industry together for one of the summer’s best-loved events
