Confidence Man announce new ‘Fabric Presents…’ mix with clubby single ‘Break It Down (On The Bassline)’

Australian band, Confidence Man, has announced that it has collaborated with IN2STELLAR, a fellow Australian DJ/Producer duo, on a new single, “Break It Down (On The Bassline),” which will be part of its latest mix, “Fabric Presents Confidence Man.” The mix, set for release on August 23, has been described as a selection of songs that Confidence Man has played at parties and DJ sets combined with “older tunes we’ve loved for ages” and “tunes sent through from friends we also dig.”  Both IN2STELLAR and Confidence Man have shared their excitement over the new single, which IN2STELLAR refers to as “one for the club.”

“Fabric Presents Confidence Man” is the band’s latest collaboration with Fabric, the iconic venue of electronic music culture. Confidence Man has now performed twice on the Other Stage at Glastonbury festival – most recently early afternoon on June 28, 2024 – and will release its forthcoming album, “3AM (LA LA LA),” on October 18. The album was created in a way that the band set out to write “only wasted” and “not writing at all sober,” which was only after an initial spark of inspiration through the haze of substances the night before. Sugar Bones, the band’s vocalist, says that “we’d go to Café Cecilia, near our studio, get absolutely wasted, then we’d go to our studio in London fields from 4pm ‘til 10am. And that was the only way we wrote the record.” The forthcoming album “Is very London-inspired, the sounds and the lyrics,” according to Bones, and it portrays the excitement of being in a new city and not knowing what is going on – the general feeling of unfamiliarity.

This latest mix includes a range of exclusive tracks. The track list for “Fabric Presents Confidence Man” is: ‘Let Them Bells Ring’ by Confidence Man, ‘Electric City’ by Leinad, ‘Vocalsita’ by John Heaven, ‘Gedup (And Move Your Butt)’ by Sweely, ‘Flex’ by Joe Goddard feat. Suku of Ward 21, ‘Breathe’ by Wallace, ‘Wide Awake (Dub)’ by Jex Opolis, ‘Oolong Trance (Paradise Mix)’ by Alex Kassian, ‘Easy Love’ by MSTRKRFT, ‘Buss It (ft. Blapps Posse)’ by Papa Nugs & DJ ADHD, ‘BREAK IT DOWN (ON THE BASSLINE)’ by Confidence Man, IN2STELLAR, ‘Fiesta Conga’ by Patrick Prins, ‘Positron 03’ by Cygnus X, ‘Windows 95 Anthem (Chloé Caillet Remix)’ by Demi Riquísimo, ‘Baby Dragon’ by Mona Yim, ‘Dregs’ by Spray, ‘God Is Coming (She Is Pissed *)’ by Joshua James, ‘Like This’ by Joe Koshin, ‘Extortionate’ by Wodda, and ‘Rhythm Is Easy (Ché Luca’s Lucid Rave Mix)’ by The Emanations ft. Janet Planet. The exclusive tracks are ‘Let Them Bells Ring,’ ‘Flex,’ ‘BREAK IT DOWN (ON THE BASSLINE),’ ‘Baby Dragon,’ and ‘Rhythm Is Easy (Ché Luca’s Lucid Rave Mix).’

Confidence Man and its collaborators are excited to bring their dance track to the populous through Fabric, where people will have the opportunity to get their physical or digital copies, issued under Confident Man’s own record label.
