Wargasm announce “live and fucking loud” livestream from a tank graveyard

British electronic metal duo Wargasm has announced a “live and loud” livestream event in support of its debut album ‘Venom’. The band will play the album in its entirety for the first time at a graveyard in the middle of England on Monday, July 8. Wargasm teased on the livestream’s website that the performance may include drones and pyrotechnics and added that the whole thing may possibly “end in flames and a bang”, urging fans to “expect the unexpected”.

The FAQ section on the livestream’s website stressed that the performance will be 100% live and will be viewable with Chromecast or Airplay on smart TVs. The stream will also be available for replay. The site features links to purchase tickets.

In a review of the album, NME described Venom as a consistent work that builds on last year’s teaser project ‘EXPLICIT: The MiXXXtape’, but this time with a “significantly raw feel”. The review added: “‘Ride The Thunder’ brings triplet rap flows to the table, over a throbbing beat that’s just waiting to kick off, while the title track leaves zero breathing space, sounding fast and furious from the get-go. It’s a total riot.”

Last month, in an interaction with NME at Download Festival, the duo shared that they have a new collaboration on track that will be part of a new era for the band. “I think it’s going to look different going forward, it’s time for it all to change and evolve. We need to bring more war, and more gasm,” said Sam Matlock, one half of the duo.

The group will join KoRn for two UK shows next month. KoRn will perform at the Scarborough Open Air Theatre on August 8 and London’s Gunnersbury Park on August 11. The collaborative work they hinted at last month may be out sooner than later –“There’ll be new music – or at least I think it’ll be out then…”, said Matlock
