Anya Clements has transformed a dreary, graffitied brick wall into a colourful and eye-catching feature with the addition of a huge mural of beloved TV characters from Gavin and Stacey. Commissioning artist Tee2sugars to create the masterpiece, the artwork took around 20 hours to complete.
Located on her garden wall, the mural has put an end to a negative element in the area. Previously covered in various forms of graffiti, the wall was brought to life with bright colours and the famous faces of Nessa and Smithy from the popular British sitcom.
Anya was thrilled with the end result, stating “I just think this looks incredible.” The mural has now become something that people enjoy and admire when walking to the nearby train station at Dinas Powys, located in the Vale of Glamorgan.
Whether people will appreciate the uniqueness and appeal of the artwork or will be frustrated with having a TV reference in their daily life remains to be seen, but for now, the one-of-a-kind mural is a great addition to the local scenery
