BBC Radio 1 has announced its latest residency line-up, which includes Brazilian house producer Vintage Culture, DJ NIKS, and songwriter and vocalist A Little Sound. These artists will be featured on the radio station’s programming from July through September. An unannounced guest artist is said to be scheduled for August 29th.
Vintage Culture began the residency with his house music in July, stating that “it’s a privilege to share my music and connect with listeners in the UK and around the world on this legendary radio station. I’m excited to bring my sound and vision to the BBC and be part of the Radio 1 family.” In August, NIKS will showcase a variety of sounds that have shaped her music from the early 90s to the present day. A Little Sound takes over the residency slot in September, showcasing her deep ties with the drum ‘n’ bass genre.
The artists in residency appear grateful for the chance to showcase their music on BBC Radio 1, with A Little Sound mentioning that the network has been instrumental in helping her discover her “little sound.” Listeners can hear each artist and their unique styles by checking BBC Radio 1’s streaming service online.
