Some fans have discovered that Barry Keoghan posted the names of two hit songs by Sabrina Carpenter on Twitter 10 years ago. Carpenter and Keoghan are now dating, and social media sleuths have noticed tweets dating back several years referencing words and phrases that would ultimately become some of her most popular tracks. For example, in November 2014, Keoghan tweeted, “This time last year I told you that I would be an Espresso Addict.” Nearly a decade later in April 2024, Carpenter released the global hit ‘Espresso’. In July 2013, he tweeted, “Can someone Please please please lend me The Sopranos …”. On June 7 2024, Carpenter released the hit song ‘Please Please Please’, which was accompanied by a music video that starred Keoghan.
Carpenter is set to release her sixth album ‘Short N Sweet’ on August 23 via Island Records. Last month, she announced details of her North American tour, which is set to kick off later this year. The tour will begin at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio on September 23, and will make stops in major cities such as Toronto, New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Orlando, Austin, Dallas, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and more. Tickets are still available for some dates on the tour.
She also recently spoke about giving ‘Nonsense’ a special Saltburn-themed outro at Coachella, but revealed that she hadn’t given Keoghan a heads up. It is now common for her to freestyle cheeky lyrics during the outro of the song while on stage, and during the festival set she sang: “Made his knees so weak, he had to spread mine / He’s drinking my bath water like it’s red wine / Coachella, see you back here when I headline”
