Actor Jamie Foxx has shared some details about his medical emergency that occurred while filming his upcoming Netflix movie “Back In Action.” In April 2023, Foxx was hospitalized after suffering an unspecified health emergency. Foxx’s medical complication is still unknown to the public and details regarding his hospitalization have remained scarce.
In a recently shared video on social media, Foxx spoke to a small group of fans in downtown Phoenix and recapped his experience. The Oscar-winning actor explained, “April 11 last year, I had a bad headache, asked my boy for an Advil. I was gone for 20 days. I don’t remember anything.” Speaking of his medical care, Foxx shared, “So, I’m in Atlanta, my sister and my daughter took me to the first doctor. He said ‘Nah,’ gave me a cortisone shot. Next doctor said, ‘Something’s going on up there.’ I won’t say it on camera.”
In recent months, Foxx’s daughter Corinne also provided an update on her father’s wellbeing stating that he is doing amazing after the health scare. Foxx returned to work on the musical game show, “Beat Shazam,” and resumed filming for his new movie after his medical emergency interrupted production. In August last year, Foxx updated his followers on Instagram declaring that he was “finally starting to feel like myself.”
Foxx has also made a few public appearances since his hospitalization. He was seen waving at fans while riding a yacht down the Chicago river, and around the same time, he was recorded saving a woman’s purse in Chicago, Illinois. In December 2023, the actor appeared at an award ceremony hosted by the Critics Choice Association and accepted the Vanguard Award.
