London’s Victoria & Albert Museum is set to display some personal items belonging to singer Taylor Swift as part of its upcoming exhibit called Taylor Swift: Songbook Trail. The exhibit will consist of 13 installations that map out Swift’s life and legacy, highlighting some of the archival pieces from Swift’s career such as clothing, awards and instruments. Tom Piper, who previously worked on Alice: Curiouser And Curiouser exhibition in 2021, is the designer of the installations that will showcase a chapter in the “Bejewelled” singer’s career. Some of the fashion items featured in the exhibit include Swift’s black ruffle dress from her ‘Fortnight’ music video and a pair of custom cowboy boots worn by the musician in 2007 while on tour with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. The temporary and free exhibit will run from July 27 until September 8.
In a statement, the museum’s senior curator for theatre and performance, Kate Bailey, spoke about the exhibit and said, “We are delighted to be able to display a range of iconic looks worn by Taylor Swift at the V&A this summer – each celebrating a chapter in the artist’s musical journey. Taylor Swift’s songs – like objects – tell stories, often drawing from art, history and literature. We hope this theatrical trail across the museum will inspire curious visitors to discover more about the performer, her creativity and V&A objects.”

The ‘Eras’ tour began in Edinburgh on June 7, where Swift got a glowing five-star review from NME for her show at Murrayfield Stadium. The tour will visit countries such as Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Poland, and Austria before heading to Canada, where Gracie Abrams will provide support
