KI/KI releases sophomore EP, ‘slash 010’

Dutch musician KI/KI has unleashed her second EP, ‘slash 010’ on her own label, slash. The production is the tenth release on the imprint and aims to shine a spotlight on new and innovative trance and techno sounds. The record boasts new music from both KI/KI and lesser-known producers alongside blasts from the past from pioneering heavyweights.

The EP centers on acid techno, a sound that KI/KI is quickly embodying. The single ‘5 Mins of Acid’ is an example of the booming bass, ethereal pads, and urgent acid sounds that characterizes her recent performances. “I literally made this track on the way to pitch Australia last year and because I wanted to play an ‘acid banger’ in my set,” the musician commented. “Not at all thinking of releasing it back then but here we are.”

‘Don’t Stop’ is another driving track, filled to the brim with euphoric soundscapes, soaring synth pads, and notes of acid. The EP also features different versions of the track, including the ‘Drums & Acid’ mix and the ‘Emotional Mix.’ ‘slash 010’ is currently out and available to stream.

In summary, KI/KI has released her sophomore EP ‘slash 010’, which showcases her love for acid techno and features tracks from emerging artists as well as established heavyweights. The release is intended to highlight the label’s dedication to the genre. ‘slash 010’ is now available to stream from the label’s website
