Groove Armada Glastonbury set cancelled due to concerns over crowd size

Due to concerns over the number of attendees, one of Groove Armada’s three scheduled performances at Glastonbury has been called off. The set in question was slated to take place on Thursday evening at the Stonebridge Bar, a location that would have held too many people. However, the duo will still perform DJ sets on Saturday at Silver Hayes’ The Levels stage alongside Eats Everything, and close out the festival on Sunday at The Glade.

A statement released by Glastonbury reassured fans of the cancellation and expressed optimism for the band’s remaining performances. “To ensure that Groove Armada’s many fans can enjoy the duo’s DJ sets at this year’s Festival, their performance in the lower-capacity Stonebridge Bar on Thursday night can now not take place. Instead, we encourage you to take in their sets at the larger capacity Glade on Sunday at 8.30pm and B2B with Eats Everything at Levels on Saturday at 6PM. Thank you for your understanding.”

The Glade stage will feature other dance music legends throughout the festival, including Faithless, Camelphat, Fatboy Slim, Mall Grab, Goldie, Chris Stussy and more. Organiser Emily Eavis recently stated that Glastonbury is slated for a fallow year in 2026 to allow the land to recover. The festival opened earlier on Thursday, with participants excited about John Peel’s newly-expanded venue.
