Childish Gambino, real name Donald Glover, has revealed that his new single ‘Lithonia’, from his upcoming album ‘Bando Stone & the New World’, will be released on Tuesday 2nd July. Glover shared the news via Instagram Live and also expressed his annoyance at the streaming service Audiomack for allegedly leaking the single early. ‘Lithonia’ is expected to serve as the lead single from Bando Stone & the New World, which doubles as the soundtrack for his upcoming movie of the same name, due for release later this summer. Gambino also used the Instagram Live session to speak about his new album, calling the rollout “mostly about fun.”
Glover lamented that people weren’t having enough fun these days, pointing out how things were different when he was younger. “When I was a kid there was, like, big things that would unite us and I just feel bad for y’all. I feel bad for some of y’all,” he said. Additionally, Gambino referenced the feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, saying, “Most of what we connect over is messed up.”
Last month, Donald Glover released his latest album ‘Atavista’.
