Steven Wilson has confirmed plans for a headline UK and European tour in 2025. The musician will perform eleven concerts across the continent. ‘The Overview Tour’ will mark his first solo live shows in seven years. The European leg of the tour will begin in Stockholm, Sweden at Cirkus on May 1, before heading to various countries, including Denmark, Germany and Norway, before ending in France. The UK leg begins on May 10 at Beacon in Bristol, followed by two consecutive nights at the London Palladium on May 12 and 13, before making stops in Newcastle, Glasgow and Salford.
“I’m thrilled to be able to announce a Steven Wilson tour for 2025, my first for 7 years,” Wilson shared in a statement. “‘The Overview Tour’ will be an audio-visual experience based around a forthcoming new release of the same name: a space themed album that features just two very long pieces.“ The upcoming shows will mark Wilson’s first full band, solo shows since 2018.
Ticket pre-sale for the tour starts at 9 am BST this Tuesday, June 25, followed by general sales on June 28 at 10 am BST. Fans will be able to purchase tickets online. Wilson released his seventh solo album, ‘The Harmony Codex’, in 2020. The album followed the reunion tour of his previously-formed band Porcupine Tree, who went on hiatus in 2010. He released his first full-length studio album ‘Insurgentes’ in 2008.
“I’ll also be playing music from ‘The Harmony Codex’ for the first time as well as songs from all of my previous records. I’m incredibly happy to be performing again with my inspirational solo band, and we have a lot of lost time to make up. I look forward to seeing you at what will be an epic evening!” said Wilson in the press statement.
