Stacey Dooley, the British television presenter and journalist, shared her Sunday routine with The Guardian, giving an insight into her life as a mother of a 14-month-old daughter, Minnie. She views getting up at 7am as a lie-in and enjoys the quiet before the chaos of the day begins. She likes to light a Frédéric Malle candle and enjoy a quiet cup of tea before the day begins.
Her childhood Sundays were relaxed, with TV at the centre of family time, while they ate dinner informally.
Dooley admits to being a Sunday eater, consuming a full English breakfast and a croissant. She also has a roast for Sunday lunch, whenever the season, and goes to a nearby pub to enjoy it, with her daughter running around and causing lots of mayhem. She does not drink alcohol but if wanting to treat herself, prefers a Shirley Temple mocktail.
Evenings are generally spent alone or with her mother as her partner Kevin Clifton is on tour in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, while Stacey is living in London. They connect online and share videos. Minnie does not have a set routine and has been dragged all over the world with their work. Nonetheless, Dooley cuddles and sings to her daughter before putting her to bed, usually by 8pm
