British electronic metal duo Wargasm have revealed that they will soon release new material and launch a new era. In an interview with NME at Download 2024, the band teased an upcoming collab, which comes after several impressive milestones in their career. They recently hit the road with Limp Bizkit, collaborating with frontman Fred Durst on “Bang Ya Head,” and joined Poppy on her recent UK tour.
Since their first main stage appearance in 2021, Wargasm has continued to grow and reach new heights. They recently played on the Apex stage with Enter Shikari at Download 2024, a festival that Matlock stated feels like home. They have also built a close relationship with Limp Bizkit, and Matlock and Milkie Way praised their time together as one of the highlights of their career. As for new material, they teased that it was very close to being released and promised a new evolution of their sound.
Wargasm has always been vocal about their support of new talent, and they appreciate the shift in this year’s festival line-up, which featured several rising artists given bigger platforms. Matlock fondly recalled seeing many of his peers receive bigger slots than ever before, with a particular fondness for Death By Romy, Scene Queen, Dying Wish, and VUKOVI. They will also be joining KoRn for two UK shows later this year.
