Love to be…, a label and club night known for its pivotal role in early UK house music, is celebrating its 30th anniversary by hosting its own festival on September 14 in the town of Harrogate, Yorkshire. It will be the largest dance music event the company has ever organised, with a lineup including Roger Sanchez, Barbara Tucker, Darius Syrossian, and Adelphi Music Factory, as well as an acid house set from Happy Mondays’ Bez. Marc Dennis and Tony Walker, organisers of the party, stated, “As we celebrate the 30th anniversary milestone, culminating in our very own festival, Love to be… will still deliver that proper 90s atmosphere combined with a modern-day vibe. We can’t wait.”
In addition to the festival, Love to be… is collaborating with local charity The Ostrich Foundation. The charity will have representatives available to talk to attendees during the day, with a minimum of £1000 being donated. Matthew Jackson from the charity explains, “Together, we aim to create a positive impact, raise awareness in crowds that haven’t yet heard of us, and raise further funds to help us continue to make a difference, as we strive to create a supportive and uplifting community.”
This year’s Love to be… festival is a momentous occasion for the company, emphasising the significant contribution it has made towards supporting House music over the past 30 years. Fans won’t want to miss the opportunity to witness such an incredible event.
Tickets for the festival can be purchased online. The festival is on September 14, 2019. Furthermore, Love to be… has teamed up with local charity The Ostrich Foundation, raising funds and awareness to help reduce the number of young people who take their own lives while providing skills to recognise and respond to suicidal behaviour
