According to reports, two more Hollywood stars are rumoured to join the cast of Beef season 2 on Netflix. The show, revolving around a road rage argument that spirals into a feud, achieved high acclaim, winning eight Emmy’s and three Golden Globe Awards in its first season.
Originally rumours suggested that Jake Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway, and Cailee Spaeny might feature in the second installment, but now according to sources, Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan are supposedly in negotiations to star alongside the already anticipated A-listers.

If the rumours are true, this would not be the first time that Isaac and Mulligan have worked together; they previously had the opportunity to collaborate in the 2011 action-thriller Drive and the 2013 biopic Inside Llewyn Davis alongside Ryan Gosling and Bryan Cranston. The upcoming season will centre around two feuding couples, but it has not officially received the green light. However, rumours about the cast seem to have surfaced bringing much anticipation to fans of this hit series.

Over the past year, Mulligan has had a busy schedule featuring in different productions such as Saltburn, a movie about the eccentric friend of Rosamund Pike’s character, Maestro where she portrayed Felicia Montealegre (Leonard Bernstein’s wife), and the Netflix sci-fi Spaceman in which she starred alongside Adam Sandler. On the other hand, Isaac’s recent projects include starring in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, Star Wars sequel trilogy, and playing the golden globe-nominated Llewyn Davis. Isaac is also currently filming Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein, a movie in which he portrays Doctor Frankenstein.

We can only hope that these rumours will manifest into realities, and fans of Beef will be thrilled to see Isaac and Mulligan reunite on-screen once more
