Ubisoft has launched a TikTok dubbing contest that gives fans of Assassin’s Creed Shadows a chance to voice a non-playable character in the game. Prizes include time with a professional vocal coach, a professional recording session, and “a whole ton of Assassin’s Creed surprises”. Winner for each of the game’s supported languages (English, Japanese, French, German, Italian, Spanish Castilian and Brazilian Portuguese) will be selected based on their performance.
The competition runs from Tuesday June 18 to Tuesday July 2, 2024. To enter, fans must record their dub of an Assassin’s Creed TikTok account in the language they want their NPC to speak. Participants can enter as many times as they like and the winners will be selected based on their performance, not social media metrics.
Danny Wallace, who voiced Shaun Hastings in the game series, makes an announcement in which he provides full details on how to enter the competition: “You want to be an NPC, right? It’s easy. You just duet over an Assassin’s Creed TikTok, dubbing in the language of your choice.” He added, “Basically, it’s like a free trip to London, all your mates are gonna be very jealous.”
Meanwhile, fans of A Quiet Place are already speculating about what to expect in the soon-to-be-released game titled The Road Ahead. This is a continuation of the series and is being developed by Milan Games.
Full rules for the dubbing contest are available on the Ubisoft website, and winners will be announced after July 2, 2024
