Jordan Peele, the award-winning filmmaker best known for his horror movie Get Out, is set to make his return to the director’s chair in 2026 with an as-yet-untitled project. Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions has produced several projects recently, including the action thriller Monkey Man in 2024. However, the new mystery project has been shrouded in secrecy since it was removed from Universal’s release schedule due to the Hollywood strikes last year.
The new movie release date has now been unveiled by Peele himself with a post on his official X account that simply depicted the date – 10.23.26. Although the filmmaker didn’t share any further information about the upcoming project, his fans eagerly awaiting the new release took to the comments on the post to express their anticipation and support for Peele’s work.
Peele’s latest film is set to be a horror-genre movie and is said to be his favourite project so far. He opened up about it at the beginning of this year, providing some vague hints about what he has planned, which came as a delight to his fans. After leaving an undeniable mark with his award-winning debut Get Out, Peele went on to produce Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman in 2017, before returning to directing and writing for the acclaimed movies Us in 2019, and Nope in 2022, which reunited him with Get Out‘s Daniel Kaluuya.
