UK DJ Franky Wah has asked for help after his car was broken into in Ibiza and his entire music collection was stolen, including new unfinished tracks. Wah was eating at a restaurant in the coastal village of Jesús when the theft happened. Among the items taken was his laptop. Wah is offering a reward for the return of his music collection and other “irreplaceable items”. In a follow-up update, Wah said that while none of his belongings have been recovered yet, he has “a good idea where they are”.
“I just want my life’s work back,” Wah said. Wah is currently hosting a three-week SHÈN residency at Ibiza’s Club Chinois for a second year. Wah said he would have to work relentlessly to recover his music, adding: “Hours, weeks, months, years of work which I’ll have to work tirelessly now to recover in time for my shows this weekend.”
Wah has thanked friends and fans for their “outpouring of support” over the past week. Wah is expected to be joined by the likes of Ida Engberg, Guy J and Patrice Bäumel over the coming weeks of the residency. If you have any information on the whereabouts of Wah’s belongings, reach out to him on Instagram
