British band 86TVs has recently released their newest single ‘Someone Else’s Dream.’ The band, composed of former members of The Maccabees Hugo and Felix White, drummer Jamie Morrison, and the brothers Jimi and Will White, have also announced an upcoming tour in the UK and Europe, their biggest yet.
The song is characterised by garage rock tension, punctuated by four-way harmony vocals that serve to soften its aggression. ‘Someone Else’s Dream’ will be included in the band’s debut album, set to be released on August 2. The album’s announcement earlier last month was accompanied by the release of the first single ‘Tambourine,’ one of the first pieces the group wrote together.
86TVs has also announced 13 UK and European dates for their upcoming tour, which will kick off in Germany on November 15 and conclude at Leeds’ Brudenell Social Club on December 1. The band’s first live performances as 86TVs were in January when they released their debut EP ‘You Don’t Have To Be Yourself Right Now.’
Before creating 86TVs, the members played together in The Maccabees, which they departed from in 2017. Felix White revealed in an interview with NME that Johnny Marr, the former Smith’s guitarist, songwriter, and member of Electronic, has played a significant role in the making of their new material.
86TVs has also been booked as a special guest for the summer concert of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds at Alexandra Palace Park in London, in addition to in-store acoustic launch shows and signing sessions and festival appearances. They will be touring various locations as part of their promotional activities for their album before the start of their UK and European tour in November
