Last night, The Killers shuffled their setlist and played a cover of The Kinks at their second show of their ‘Rebel Diamonds’ UK and Ireland tour in Dublin’s 3Arena. It was the band’s second show of the summer greatest hits tour, and their 21-song set included several changes from their previous concert, including eight new songs. Tour debuts were present for eight songs, including four from six-minute town.
The performance also had some of their older songs from their debut album “Hot Fuss,” such as “Andy, You’re a Star,” which they played for the first time in seven years. In addition, five tracks from “Hot Fuss” got an airing, including “Andy, You’re a Star,” which they only recently revived on stage. The band also performed “Imploding the Mirage” from its 2020 album of the same name and its recent title track “Pressure Machine.” They opened the show with “My Own Soul’s Warning,” from their 2020 album ‘Imploding The Mirage.
The Killers’ performances have been notable since founding member Dave Keuning was back in the lineup for the tour, following his departure in 2017 to spend more time with his family. While he didn’t contribute to their follow-up album “Imploding the Mirage,” he joined them in the studio for their seventh album, “Pressure Machine.” He also used his time away from the touring line-up to release solo music.
The Killers have one more show in Dublin lined up, followed by four stops in Manchester and three in Glasgow. They’ll then wrap up the tour with six nights at The O2 in London. Last-minute tickets are available.
