Eagles announce Las Vegas Sphere residency

The Eagles have confirmed that they will have an upcoming residency at the Las Vegas Sphere. The announcement was made on the official Eagles website, putting to rest rumours that have been circulating since March regarding a possible show at the state-of-the-art venue. Despite earlier speculation suggesting the Eagles would hold a 10-week residency, they have in fact confirmed that they will play an eight-show stint beginning in September and ending in October. Two shows are scheduled to be held each weekend. Interested parties can register for pre-sale tickets on the Eagles website starting June 18, and general sales will begin June 21 via Ticketmaster.

The residency dates have been confirmed, and both September and October will feature four shows each. U2, Phish, and Dead & Company have all hosted residencies at the Sphere, making the Eagles the fourth band to hold such a distinction. This residency is in addition to the ongoing farewell shows for the ‘Long Goodbye’ tour. The tour kicked off in 2023 and will run up to 2025. Despite the Eagles’ plans to retire, they plan to play “as many shows in each market as their audience demands.”

Don Henley and team are using the farewell tour as an opportunity to connect with the audience before retiring for good. The final run of dates is currently underway, so this residency is a last chance to immerse oneself in the band’s classic sound live. U2 launched the venue in September 2023 with their 40-performance residency. The U2:UV Achtung Baby show was well received by critics and fans alike, receiving a five-star review from NME on opening night.

Interested fans can visit the Eagles website to register in advance for pre-sale tickets. Tickets go on general sale starting June 21 via Ticketmaster. The residency will be held over eight shows and two weekends each in September and October, making it a must-see for any die-hard Eagles fans
