Enter Shikari will embark on a small UK tour later this year, following their successful arena tour earlier in 2022 and a spot on the main stage at Download Festival this weekend. The forthcoming tour will take the band to some towns and venues they haven’t played in some time.
Rou Reynolds, the band’s frontman, said “People often travel considerable distances to come to live shows, so we feel it’s important for us to make the effort as well sometimes and play places that your standard tour wouldn’t normally on this run we’ve got some smaller stops that we haven’t played in ages, sandwiched in with cities like Birmingham, Liverpool, and Glasgow, that we didn’t get to visit on our arena tour. As much as we love the bigger rooms, it’s going to be killer to play some smaller sweatier places again and as these will be our last UK shows for quite a while, we couldn’t go into hiding without one last visit to the Barras!”
It is noted that the tour is similar in size and scope to the band’s 2013 ‘Return to Energiser’ tour. Additionally, Enter Shikari shared a live video of them performing their recent single ‘Losing My Grip,’ featuring a guest appearance from Fever 333’s Jason Aalon Butler. For Enter Shikari, it was fortuitous that with Fever on the tour, they could do it in style. They had Jason, drone cameras, full production, and 10,000 legends as extras, said Reynold. It was the first time drones have been allowed to swoop around Wembley arena and capture the chaos of its audience from above.
Tickets for the tour will go on general sale on June 19, with a fan club presale starting on June 17. Teenage Wrist will provide support, and below is the full list of dates:
