Channing Nicole Larry, the rapper better known as Enchanting, passed away at the age of 26. Her death was confirmed by her affiliate, CJ Kasino, who wrote on Instagram that she had been placed on life support and the plug was eventually pulled. Her management team also confirmed that she was dealing with drug withdrawals and had been trying to get clean before her passing.
Enchanting signed to Gucci Mane’s record label, 1017 Records, in 2020 but departed the label last year. Throughout her career, Enchanting released five studio albums with her last album, Luv Scarred/No Luv (Deluxe), featuring collaborations with Gucci Mane, Coi Leray, Big Scarr, and Key Glock. Gucci Mane took to Instagram to pay tribute to the late Enchanting, writing that she was a “true star” and “we gone all miss you Chant.”
Several other rappers, including Leilani Capalot and Yella Beezy, also paid tribute to Enchanting on social media. Her boyfriend, MotionGod Bandman, wrote on Facebook that she had “finally found that peace that you was looking for.”
Enchanting’s untimely passing is a tragedy for the music world, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and fans. May she rest in peace
