On Thursday 4 July 2024, elections will be held in several constituencies in Liverpool. These include Liverpool Garston, Liverpool Riverside, Liverpool Walton, Liverpool Wavertree, and Liverpool West Derby. Additionally, voters in the Broadgreen, Clubmoor East, and Fazakerley North wards will be voting in three ward by-elections on the same day.
To be able to participate in these elections, you must first be on the electoral register. If you’re already registered, you don’t have to do anything else and your poll card will be sent to you in mid-June. However, if you’re yet to register, you have until Tuesday 18 June 2024 to do so.
Those who are unable to get to their polling station can apply to vote by post or proxy. If you opt for a postal vote, the deadline to apply for one is 5 PM on Wednesday 19 June 2024. The deadline to apply for a proxy vote is 5 PM on Wednesday 26 June 2024.
For those who plan to vote at a polling station, a photographic voter ID is required. If you don’t have one, you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate before the deadline, which is 5 PM on Wednesday 26 June 2024.
Before casting your vote, it’s recommended that you check your constituency and candidates to confirm you’re registered in the right ward. The link below can help you check your details: https://whocanivotefor.co.uk/
